## The story (honest version)

Songbrain started as a pure song-analysis pipeline — months of building audio models, testing on the founders' own songs, and assembling a legal song-outcome dataset to validate the Virality Score against real streaming results. The analysis product launched, got tested hard, and honestly: it didn't convert. General-purpose AI (Gemini and friends) commoditized "tell me about my song" overnight. So the strategy changed to what analysis alone could never deliver: the finished content. The pipeline runs as a staged cloud system: signal-level analysis (tempo, key, loudness, beat grid, moment detection) on dedicated audio models, meaning-level analysis (genre, instruments, descriptions) on large multimodal models, word-level lyric transcription with a vocal-stem fallback pass, deterministic score fusion, and a render farm that turns the results into finished videos.
