The Virality Score is a number from 0 to 100 that rates how shareable your track is across TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts and Spotify. It's built from AI listening and audio analysis of the song itself, and every score comes with the reasons behind it.
The score is built from your song's own DNA: Best Moments hook quality, production characteristics, energy profile, structure and lyrics emotional impact. It's not just one metric — and the report shows a transparent breakdown of exactly which components drive the number. It does not use live TikTok trend data.
Scores vary by genre, but generally: 0–40 = needs work, 40–70 = solid potential, 70–90 = strong viral candidate, 90+ = exceptional.
Yes. The report shows exactly which elements contribute to your score. Use the Best Moments data to understand what hooks work, check your production metrics against chart standards, and iterate on your next version.
Best Moments are the exact 3–15 second sections of your song that are most likely to make someone stop scrolling and engage. You get precise timestamps (e.g. 0:47–0:58) with a confidence score for each moment.
Use them to create TikTok clips, Instagram Reels or YouTube Shorts. Start your video at the exact timestamp where the hook hits. These are the moments that are statistically most likely to trigger shares and saves.
Link your TikTok, Instagram or YouTube profile once. Songbrain finds the reels you post for each song and shows how each one did — views, likes and comments — right next to the song. Available on every plan.
Not yet — direct posting to TikTok is still in TikTok's review. You download the reels and post them yourself. The Performance tab only reads public numbers; nothing is ever posted for you.

It costs 350 credits on any plan (the $10 pack covers it), and the credits come back automatically if the render fails. Songs that match someone else's commercial release are blocked.

No — we don't do playlist placement right now, so we don't promise it. Paid playlist services charge $50–$2,000+ and often use fake listeners that can get your Spotify account flagged. Songbrain's route is content: reels and a posting plan you post yourself.
Absolutely not. You retain 100% ownership of your music and all royalties. Songbrain only analyzes your audio — we never claim rights, distribute, or monetize your tracks.
Your original upload is deleted within 24 hours. A compressed preview stays so your player and reels keep working — 30 days on free accounts, a year on Premium — and you can delete it any time in Settings. We do not keep permanent copies of your music.

Yes, and it's self-serve. The REST API gives developers and businesses the same analysis as JSON: Song DNA, beat grid, best moments, word-timed lyrics, scores, story and a beat-synced shot plan. There's also an MCP server for Claude and Cursor. You can try real responses without a key at https://api.songbrain.ai/v1/examples.

AcousticBrainz stopped accepting new data in 2022 (the site is read-only). Spotify closed its Audio Features and Audio Analysis endpoints to new apps in November 2024.
