What is the difference between deathcore and metalcore?
Deathcore borrows from death metal: lower tunings, blast beats, guttural vocals and slower, heavier breakdowns. Metalcore keeps clean sung choruses at its center.
Do deathcore instrumentals work?
They can, but vocals carry most of the hooks in this genre. Without them, the breakdown and the sound design have to do all the work.
