What is the difference between phonk and trap?
Both sit on 808s, but phonk uses cowbell melodies, Memphis rap samples and heavy distortion. Trap leans on rolling hi-hats and cleaner, melodic production.
Are slowed + reverb edits phonk?
No. Slowed + reverb is an edit style that can be applied to any song. Phonk is a production style with its own drums, samples and sound.
